How often do we hear ourselves say "I wish I had more time" or "So much to do, so little time"?
The most successful people on Earth have the same numbers of hours in their lives, just like us. Why do they seem to get all work done and still have enough hours in a day to dedicate to the things they love doing? Why are we falling short of our goals, always seeming to be in a rush and stressed out because we cannot do the things we want to do?
One thing I have noticed common in all successful people is the fact that they "GET UP EARLY". Whether its an athelete, a successful businessman or even a school topper, they all rise and shine early. In interviews with these people, most of them say they get up at 5 am or 5:30 am, no matter what time they slept the previous day. Getting up early seems hardwired into their brains.
You must have read in all health magazines that one should sleep atleast 8 hours a day. Right? Not really. I believe thats its the quality of sleep and not the quantity that matters. Don't you find that a good half hour of deep sleep is more relaxing that a whole night of restless slumber? If the 8 hours a day theory was true, then most of these successful people would be the most unhealthiest people in the world. What they have mastered is the art of deep sleep, so that even 4 or 5 hours of sleep a day is more than enough.
What time do you wake up? 7am? 8am? Do you jump right out of bed or do you laze around for another 30 mins before you are finally mobile?
Now imagine yourself getting up at 5am and immediately getting up out of bed.
Lets do the math. You have gained approximately 2 and a half hours a day. Thats 17 and a half hours a week, 75 hours a month and 912 and half hours a year! Thats a whole 38 days you have added to your life.
Now think for yourself, what you can do with extra 38 days every year! To think we waste all this time just sleeping seems a shame.
Life is too precious to waste sleeping. You'll have plenty of time to sleep when you are dead.
Come, lets join the 5 o'clock club!

Onset of Life
January 25, 2007 : For everyone it was a pretty normal day. The sun rose on time, work began as normal, infact everything seemed to be running on normal speed on Earth. However for me things were going at full pace and at the same time, seemed to be going in slow speed. Paradox?
I was in the delivery room awaiting the birth of my first child. At exactly 11:14 a.m on January 25, 2007, the entire world seemed to stand still as a new life emerged on this planet of ours. It was the most beautiful moment of my entire life and gave me a new meaning of the word "Life". Only parents who have children of their own will know what I mean. It is an indescribable moment, which can only be experienced to live it.
Anyhow, my little baby boy was born into my life on that day. We call him "Aujas" which essentially means "Essense of Life".
I invite you to my blog, to discuss anything and everything about this wonderful life that we have been gifted to by God. Let us share and enjoy the beautiful journey of life, together.
As I heard in a movie "ENJOY THIS MOMENT BECAUSE THIS MOMENT IS YOUR LIFE".
Cheers
